With a nod towards the late Gram Parson's description of his own genre-defining brand of music, the Cosmic Americans play an eclectic gumbo of roots rock and roll and Americana twang.  From the Beatles and the Rolling Stones to Wilco and Bare, Jr., the Cosmic Americans blend acoustic and electric guitars with the unique sounds of the pedal steel.  Throw in vocal harmonies, drums and a harmonica and you get a song mix of up-tempo rockers and slow drags.  Some songs will be familiar while others may not, but all are danceable and sure to entertain a crowd.

The Cosmic Americans are made up of five musicians who have plenty of musical experience behind them.  All have been playing in and performing with bands in the southeast for more than 25 years.  Members include:  David Williams (vocals, bass guitar, harmonica), Chris Mowry (acoustic and electric guitars, vocals), Jon Carleton (electric and pedal steel guitars, keyboards, and vocals), Bobby Summerlin (electric guitar and vocals), and Bennie Eidson (drums).

Based out of the northwestern Atlanta suburb of Acworth, the Cosmic Americans are available for private parties, corporate outings, or nightclub performances.  The band can provide its own sound and light system that is suitable for any sized venue.  References are available upon request.
